myDoom.L

MyDoom.L is a mass-mailing worm that uses its own SMTP engine to send itself to all email addresses it finds on an infected system. The email contains an attachment with a .bat, .cmd, .com, .ese, .pif, .scr or .zip extension.

The worm has keylogging capability and sometimes the message contains a randomly selected domain name used in the closure of the email message with the "From" field of the email being spoofed.

Removal:

Almost all antivirus software companies have updated their signature files to include this worm. This will stop the infection upon contact and in some cases will remove an active infection from your system.
